SNEAKY PROPHET

----------------------------------------------

"Guard yourselves against the Fire prepared for the disbelievers. Obey Allah and the Messenger"

Quran 3:131-132

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

"Whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger... will be cast into Hell, to stay there forever."

Quran 4:14 and many similar verses

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

Muhammad telling people to obey him is not suspicious at all.

----------------------------------------------

"He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah; but those who turn away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian."

Quran 4:80

(Sahih International translation)

The author [Muhammad] equates Muhammad's judgment skills to Allah's to create an image of an authorized mediator between a transcendent deity and the world of humans. A standard religious trick.

----------------------------------------------

"Regarding the spoils of war. Say, 'Their distribution is decided by Allah and His Messenger... obey Allah and His Messenger'"

Quran 8:1; similar: 59:7

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

The more wars - the more spoils for Allah and his messenger.

----------------------------------------------

"Whoever thinks that Allah will not help His Prophet in this world and the Hereafter, let them stretch out a rope to the ceiling and strangle themselves"

Quran 22:15

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

Allah wants people to hang themselves when they doubt god's support of Muhammad.

----------------------------------------------

"It is not for a believing man or woman—when Allah and His Messenger decree a matter—to have any other choice in that matter. Indeed, whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger has clearly gone ˹far˺ astray."

Quran 33:36

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

Given that only the Messenger knows what Allah wanted to say regarding that matter, it all lands on a single person to have absolute authority in everything for everyone. And that person proclaimed himself as that authority. Very fishy business. And if you disagree, you are considered a dissident gone astray and that's pretty much a sentence.

----------------------------------------------

"There is no blame on the Prophet for doing what Allah has ordained for him."

Quran 33:38

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

The Prophet said that the Prophet can do whatever he decides. No questions can be asked.

----------------------------------------------

"Muḥammad is... the Messenger of Allah and seal [i.e., last] of the prophets."

Quran 33:40

(Sahih International translation)

Many prophets told about themselves that they're the last one, the seal. Until the next one comes later and says the same again.

----------------------------------------------

"O Prophet! We have made lawful for you your wives to whom you have paid their ˹full˺ dowries as well as those ˹bondwomen˺ in your possession, whom Allah has granted you. And ˹you are allowed to marry˺ the daughters of your paternal uncles and aunts, and the daughters of your maternal uncles and aunts, who have emigrated like you. Also ˹allowed for marriage is˺ a believing woman who offers herself to the Prophet ˹without dowry˺ if he is interested in marrying her—˹this is˺ exclusively for you, not for the rest of the believers. We know well what ˹rulings˺ We have ordained for the believers in relation to their wives and those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession. As such, there would be no blame on you.... It is up to you ˹O Prophet˺ to delay or receive whoever you please of your wives. There is no blame on you if you call back any of those you have set aside."

Quran 33:50-51

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

The Prophet said that the Prophet has special marriage rules. Much more relaxed rules. Exclusively for him, not for the rest of the believers.

----------------------------------------------

"It is not [conceivable or lawful] for you to harm the Messenger of Allah or to marry his wives after him, ever."

Quran 33:53

(Sahih International translation)

The Prophet wrote that the Prophet's wives can't be remarried. Probably because it will hurt his possessive ego.

----------------------------------------------

"Those who pledge allegiance to you ˹O Prophet˺ are actually pledging allegiance to Allah"

Quran 48:10

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

The Prophet says that allegiance to him is the same as allegiance to Allah.

----------------------------------------------

"Do not raise your voices above the voice of the Prophet, nor speak loudly to him as you do to one another, or your deeds will become void"

Quran 49:2

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

The Prophet says that shouting at him is prohibited by god and doing so will rip you of your heavenly reward.

----------------------------------------------

"Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it. And whatever he forbids you from, leave it."

Quran 59:7

(translated by Dr. Mustafa Khattab)

In other words, submit to the random preferences of a guy who tells you that you must submit to his preferences.
